An Afternoon at the Ballet

Now that we are living in city, it is fun to take-in some events that weren't available in West Virginia. A couple of months ago, Curt and I were able to see the Broadway musical of Lion King which was great. This time it was G1's turn to take in a show at the Ohio Theater here in Columbus. It is an old theater that has been restored beautifully. (I tried to get a couple pictures inside it.) Grandma Judy treated G1 and I to the Nutcracker ballet and we had a fun time. The costumes and sets were amazing and it got us in the Christmas spirit!

Getting Ready for Christmas

G1 got these cool 3D glasses that make the Christmas lights look like angels. G2 had lots of fun decorating Christmas cookies for the first time. G1 was a good supervisor.

Go Vikings!

First Time Bowling

G1 insisted on wearing her dress bowling. G2 was adamant about carrying his own bowling ball.

Time Flies ...

It's been so long since our last blog that it's hard to know where to start. I'll hit the highlights with a few pictures.

Summer So Far...

Here's a short picture recap of our summer so far. Tomorrow the internet is being turned off in preparation for moving on Wed. so we will be away from blogging for awhile - not that I'm very good at keeping up as it is :0)

Dance Recital - Part Two

Here's the ballet song...

Dance Recital

Last weekend was G1's first dance recital. She did a great job! Thanks to Pake, Beppe and Grandma for coming and cheering her on.

Moving Time

We decided it was time to list our house in preparation for our move to Ohio this summer. We had 2 great offers within 3 days of listing it! What an answer to prayer!

Another Milestone

G1 has been trying very hard the last couple weeks to master pumping herself on the swing. Earlier tonight, she accomplished her goal. She was so proud of herself. (Here's a short video - sorry it's sideways. I'll get this blogging thing down someday.)

Playing Outside

We have had a stretch of great weather. G2 was very interested in G1's bike so we thought it was time to get him some wheels. However, he has more fun pushing it around. He also likes to sweep the dirt and ride on the lawn mower with Dad. Gotta love it!

Birthday Flowers

Erin sent me some beautiful tulips for my birthday. I asked G1 to take a picture with them and this was her response!

Easter

Curt sent them on a hunt for their Easter baskets (complete with clues that Dr. Suess would be proud of). They had a great time going all over the place, inside and out.

Two Months of Memories

Well, it's time for my quarterly blog update. Here's a few photos to catch you up on what we've been doing. (Any guesses as to who's foot that is?)

Funny Faces

Tonight, G1 came across these funny stick-on mustaches that belong her dad. She didn't want to actually stick hers on but G2 was willing to give it a try (for about 10 seconds!)

Airplanes and Pizza

You may be wondering what G2 is into these days. He loves pizza and anything with wheels. His latest favorite toy is an airplane he got from Pake and Beppe for Valentine's Day. Check it out!

Snowboarding Date

Once again, I must apologize for our long absence from blogging. There just aren't enough hours in a day for me! Yesterday was a big day for Curt and G1. Every couple weeks, Curt takes G1 on a "date." This particular date was an extra special one because Curt has long been dreaming of the day when he could take G1 snowboarding! (Kind of like Uncle M and the football helmet for T :0) Curt was very proud of G1 - she did a great job and had a lot of fun!
